Happy New Year!
We hope you loved all of the treasures that were hand picked by your kids from our Holiday Shop. We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your support this year. We've received lots of positive feedback and we appreciate it!
The PTA is gearing up for our big fundraiser....the Boosterthon Fun Run! This is our only fundraiser. We're hoping to raise enough money for some beautification projects like an outdoor picnic area and/or some colorful murals to brighten up our hallways. This year alone, the PTA has granted over $9,000 in teacher requests for various resources and we are planning more community events like our Movie on the Lawn and Bounce and Boogie Night!
This year's Boosterthon theme is "Rock'n Town Live". Rock’n Town Live is a music festival theme all about COMMUNITY. Digital devices in homes across America can keep students inside and isolated. A theme about getting them out into the community is more important than ever. This character theme takes students backstage at a town music festival to learn from the Rock’n Town band about the five traits that make communities rock. Each musically inspired Community Challenge is paired with a fun, radio-ready song and music video that will have students singing about character and fitness for the rest of the year.
The Boosterthon kicks off next week with the Fun Run taking place on January 29th. We hope to have your continued support!

Welcome Fall!
Thank you to everyone who visited our Book Fair last month. It was a huge success! Speaking of a huge success, our PDQ Spirit Night was one of our best ever .... and the largest turnout PDQ has hosted so far! We hope you all had a good time.
Mrs. Combs' class had the most participation at Spirit Night and enjoyed a FREE LUNCH from PDQ today.
Most of our school shirts have been delivered, and the kids look great in them! We apologize if you experienced a delay in your order. If you ordered a shirt but have not received it, please send us an email at bsepta2014@gmail.com .
One last note....our big fundraiser for the year, the Boosterthon Fun Run, has been rescheduled until the 3rd week of January (it was originally scheduled for this month). Thank you again for all of your support. Please don't hesitate to contact us with any questions or concerns.

School Shirts, Book Fair and Spirit Night
School is back in full swing! We have been delivering lots of school t-shirts and have many more on the way. If you haven't sent in your order, please send it in by this Friday, September 12th. If you need a copy of the order form, please email us at bsepta2014@gmail.com .
Our Fall Book Fair is coming up next week (Sept 15-19). The book fair will be open from 9:00am-2:00pm Monday thru Friday and Thursday evening from 5-7pm for Family Night. Students will be visiting the book fair with their class during the week and filling out "wish lists". You may purchase books from their list by sending in cash or check with your child, or you are welcome to come in anytime during our open hours to browse and/or purchase.

We are excited to announce that our first Spirit Night of the year will be at PDQ on September 25th. Come in anytime between 4-10pm and our school will earn 10% of sales if you mention BSE Spirit Night. There will also be a sign-in sheet for a classroom contest. Open Board Meeting
Just a quick note to let everyone know that our first open meeting of the school year will be held this Monday, August 25th at 6:00pm in the school cafeteria. We will be introducing our board and also reviewing our budget for the year.

Orientation and Boo Hoo Breakfast
We will have a table set up at the "world wall" during orientation this week. Anyone that joins PTA during orientation will receive a free school spirit item (BSE car magnet, or reusable bag). If you would like to make it easy, you can print out the form from the "Join PTA!" tab above and fill it out ahead of time. Simply drop it off with your $6 cash or check made out to BSE PTA.
Also we will have school shirts for sale. Shirts are only $5 this year! Students are encouraged to wear them on Fridays for Spirit Day and on Field Trips. We hope to have enough for everyone that would like to pick one up at Orientation, but if we run out.... more are on the way! Currently we only have child sizes but we will be offering adult sizes as well.
